You hear them laugh at him.
Shh, don't say a word.
You see him look away.
Shh, don't make a sound.
You see them hurt him.
Go, and walk away.
You see him crying now.
Turn and run away.
"Go and help him!!"
Your head screams.
"Go, and save him!
You can rescue him!"
"No!" another voice whispers,
"You can't do a thing.
It won't make a difference.
He is only a freak.
What about your reputation?
What about your friends?"
"None of that matters,
you can help him."
So you go and tell them,
to leave this boy alone.
And you made a difference,
you saved a life.
